Auditions for The Odd Couple

This summer, the Hicksville Village Players will be presenting Neil Simon’s comedy classic, The Odd Couple. This outrageous comedy asks the immortal question: “Can two divorced men share an apartment without driving each other crazy?” The two act play features Felix (a compulsive neat freak) and his roommate Oscar (the consummate slob). When you throw in 4 poker pals and 2 flighty English gals, you get a madcap free-for-all that has been delighting fans of stage, big screen, and television for nearly 50 years.

Auditions for The Odd Couple will be held at the Huber Opera House and Civic Center in downtown Hicksville, Ohio on the following dates:

Thursday, March 29 (7PM-9PM)
Friday, March 30 (7PM-9PM)
Saturday, March 31 (2PM-5PM & 7PM-9PM)
Sunday, April 1 (2PM-5PM)

Show dates are: June 29-July 1st at the Huber

Miracles

Directed by Beth Henderson. Miracles is the story of an institutionalized autistic girl, whose teacher convinces her father that she is, in fact, a savant. After father and daughter enjoy a reunion and prepare for the national announcement of her book of poetry, the father discovers that not all with the teacher or his daughter is what it seems. Is his daughter truly a savant, or has the teacher been using her for her own needs, and will the father be able to resist the urge to do the same?

The Curious Savage

The Curious Savage by John Patrick

Mrs. Savage has inherited ten million dollars but her eager step-children wish to assist her in disbursing the funds. When she is institutionalized by them, she discovers various social misfits who need the help she can provide. This comedy leaves the audience feeling that the neglected virtues of kindness and affection have not been entirely lost in a world that seems at times to only be motivated by greed and dishonesty.
